Taina Pearson Portraiture
Classically trained at both Madrid university and University College of Wales, artist Taina Pearson has become renowned for her portraiture, with a diverse scope of subjects ranging from children and adults to dogs, horses and houses. Using oil or acrylic on canvas she has a unique ability to capture the essence of the character of her individual subjects. As well as reflecting a traditional painting technique, her portraits have a contemporary and almost 3D quality in her use of the small deep canvas. Her work focuses on the head and shoulder area, the facial expression and the eyes. Commissions are undertaken from photographs rather than lengthy sittings. As a trained photographer these can be taken by Taina herself. She can also work from client's own images.
Taina’s popularity as a portrait painter has earned her numerous commissions from both sides of the Atlantic.
'Taina has a wonderful ability to capture the character and inner spirit of her subject, freezing that precious moment in time.' Professor Keith Critchlow
'Taina has just painted two absolutely fantastic portraits of my children. What a talent. Check her out if you are in the market for a portrait. Money well spent and a life long treasure.' (client review form www.helphound.com)
